About Annette
I’m a Licensed Acupuncturist with a Master’s degree in Acupuncture from the Tai Sophia Institute (now Notre Dame of Maryland University's School of Integrative Health) in the United States. My training is rooted in classical Five-Element Acupuncture—a tradition that focuses on identifying and treating the root cause of imbalance within a person’s unique constitution.

What drew me to this approach is its ability to support healing on every level—not just the physical body, but also the mind and spirit. I’m continually amazed by the emotional and energetic shifts that occur in treatment, even when a client’s initial complaint is purely physical.

In addition to Five-Element acupuncture, I’ve studied Traditional Chinese Medicine, the AcuOsteo method, botanicals and supplements, as well as a variety of hands-on bodywork techniques. I love weaving together different healing modalities to create treatments that are deeply supportive, personalized, and effective.

In 2018, I moved from the U.S. to the Netherlands with my Dutch husband and our two children - children we fought incredibly hard to bring into the world. This journey included years of infertility, endometriosis, and IVF. I don't often lead with this, because when you're sitting across from me, the focus is entirely on you. But I share it here because I want you to know: if you're navigating fertility challenges, I understand that road from the inside.

That experience shapes everything about how I show up for my patients. I know what it feels like to hope, to grieve, to try again, and to finally hold what you'd been waiting for. When you come to me, you're working with someone who genuinely gets it - not just clinically, but humanly.

Since settling in the Netherlands, I’ve had the privilege of supporting women and families through fertility challenges, IVF preparation and recovery, pregnancy, postpartum care, burnout, and more. My approach is integrative, combining acupuncture, naturopathic tools, and bodywork to help you feel your best—balanced, resilient, and at home in your body.

My mission is to support and empower individuals and families through every stage of life with compassionate, personalized care. I specialize in offering a gentle, integrative approach that nurtures balance in body, mind, and spirit.

Whether you're trying to conceive, navigating the physical and emotional changes of pregnancy, managing stress or burnout, or seeking natural support for you or your child’s health, my goal is to create a safe, healing space where lasting transformation can unfold.

Alongside my clinical work, I serve in a board-level leadership and advisory role with Global Surgery Umbrella (GSU), contributing to strategic, legal, and policy initiatives that advance integrative and systems-based approaches to healthcare.
